Children's boat fair

Children’s adventures at Allt för Sjön!

Allt för Sjön offers activities for the whole family. Children can learn how to tie knots, take part in crafts, discover more about the ocean and join a fun quiz walk with tricky questions.
For young sailors dreaming of becoming captains, there is also the chance to try dry sailing in an Optimist dinghy – a fun introduction to the world of sailing.

The Maritime History Museum’s creative workshop

At the creative workshop, children and young people can drop in and learn how to tie knots in a hands-on knot-tying school. At the Swedish Maritime Museum stand, children can also take part in creative crafts and activities.

Hej Havet! Quiz Walk

“Hej Havet!” is an educational programme developed by the Voice of the Ocean Foundation and used in KSSS summer camps since 2022. The material aims to strengthen children’s awareness of the ocean, spark curiosity about life beneath the surface, and provide a basic understanding of the ocean’s importance to us and our planet.

“Hej Havet!” is designed to be flexible and easy for instructors to use as part of the regular activities at sailing schools. The material includes an inspirational film, a spiral-bound flipbook with images and short fact texts, as well as a deck of cards featuring facts and discussion questions. It also comes with a simple guide that provides instructors with tips on how to use the different elements in their teaching.

The quiz walk is based on the material and starts at the KSSS stand (A01:36).

The activity is organised in collaboration between KSSS and VOTO. The VOTO Foundation was established in 2019 with the aim of supporting and promoting research and knowledge about the ocean. By communicating and sharing information, VOTO seeks to increase awareness of and engagement with the ocean.

Infotainer – An interactive way to learn more about the oceans

The Infotainer is a platform that makes learning about the ocean interactive and engaging. By watching films, playing games and solving challenges, children and young people can learn more about the health of our oceans and how to interact with them in a sustainable way.

The Infotainer is based on illustrations and texts by Lasse Åberg from the book The Ocean Is Your Best Friend, written by Lasse Åberg and published in collaboration with the Voice of the Ocean (VOTO) Foundation.

Visit the Infotainer at the KSSS stand (A01:36).
