Sweden\u2019s most prestigious and longest-running boat show<\/h2>\n

Every March, Allt f\u00f6r Sj\u00f6n kicks off the boating season. For years, visitors have come here to meet experts, discover the latest products, and prepare for the seasons ahead on both lakes and seas.<\/p>\n

In 1903, the Automobile and Motorboat Exhibition was held at the Old Sports Park (today\u2019s Stadion) and in the waters by Djurg\u00e5rdsbron in Stockholm. The exhibition is considered the world’s first boat show. The exhibition then took place again at Djurg\u00e5rdsbron in 1905 and 1907, attracting visitors from around the world.<\/p>\n

After the exhibition had lain dormant due to the First World War, the Royal Motorboat Club (KMK) decided to revive the exhibition to try to increase interest in motorboats as pleasure boats. The exhibition was relocated to Saltsj\u00f6baden in May 1922 and is considered the first industry exhibition featuring everything for the sea.<\/p>\n

The exhibition was very successful, and it was decided to hold it again, this time at Liljevalchs Konsthallar on Djurg\u00e5rden in 1929.<\/p>\n

The name “Allt f\u00f6r sj\u00f6n” was coined in the early 1930s and has been hosted at the Stockholm International Fairs (Stockholmsm\u00e4ssan) since the early 1970s. The fair has become a natural meeting place for boat and archipelago enthusiasts of all ages, and now, 100 years later, it continues to sail ahead at full speed.<\/p>\n

Red lacquered mahogany, shiny oak, or fast aluminum? Whatever your preferences may be, you can count on getting a hefty dose and then some when you visit during any of the fair days. Of course, you can also expect a plethora of accessories and packed stage programs as well.<\/p>\n

Allt F\u00f6r Sj\u00f6n opens its doors to a world of endless inspiration, news, and the opportunity to find your dream boat \u2013 whether it’s a kayak, sailing dinghy, or motorboat.<\/p>\n

In 2026, Allt f\u00f6r Sj\u00f6n will be organised by Stockholmsm\u00e4ssan, after which Numera M\u00e4ssor will take over the responsibility for staging Allt f\u00f6r Sj\u00f6n. <\/p>\n

All for the Baltic Sea – from words to action is the name of our contribution to creating a healthier sea in the future. We are collaborating with the Baltic Sea Contract Foundation, which has gathered a number of important actors at stand A04:30: Voice of the ocean, Baltic Sea Science Center, F\u00e4ltbiologerna, Hands 2 Ocean, Race for the Baltic, Rotary, Stockholm University – Baltic Sea Centre Blue Center<\/strong>, and others, who will show and tell about their work to save the Baltic Sea in various areas. We all want to see a healthier Baltic Sea in the future, right? Come and support some of them, talk to scientists and find out more about how you can contribute to a healthier sea in the future. We focus on reducing plastic pollution in the oceans and work to promote marine biodiversity through initiatives such as Krympplast recycling.<\/p>\n

At Allt f\u00f6r Sj\u00f6n, we use a significant amount of shrink-wrap to protect the boats but none of it goes to waste. Every sheet is collected, processed, and given a new life as recycled plastic products, turning a challenge into a step towards sustainability. <\/p>\n

This year we are collaborating with Sweboat and Orbit to ensure efficient recycling. Orbit converts the material into new shrink plastic that is distributed throughout Sweden. Every ton of plastic that is recycled makes a Swedish resident climate neutral and helps to reduce the environmental impact. <\/p>\n

Together, we are creating a sustainable future for the boating industry.<\/p>\n
